New Businesses Anticipated to Open Their Doors Soon in Denver

Denver is experiencing a boom. As the Mile High City rises in prominence, businesses are rushing to meet the needs of the citizens in this increasingly populous and wealthy metropolis. This is a huge boon for the commercial construction industry, which expects efforts to continue full speed ahead, but it’s also a pleasant development for the everyday Coloradan, who can expect retail, restaurant, and nightlife to dominate the development boom. Here are some of the most exciting new businesses coming to the city.

Denver Milk Market Expands

The Dairy Block has developed into one of the hippest districts in downtown – an area that blends art, culture, and shopping, and new construction in the district has been prodigious. The Milk Market just opened June 1, but the innovative space hosting 16 different restaurants all tied to the same point of sale system, is already regarding as the anchor spot for the neighborhood, and we can expect this market hall envisioned by Frank Bonanno to increase in prominence in the coming years.

But the Milk Market isn’t the only game in town. Free Market intends to take a new approach to retail by offering a gallery space highlighting a multitude of different brands. Meanwhile, Will Leather Goods, high-end menswear store Berkeley Supply, and clothing retailer Eagle Company are all intended to open their doors in the Dairy Block shortly.

Beer Continues to Reign Supreme

Denver has been one of the major capitals of craft beers since long before America’s love affair with the phenomenon, and breweries have continued to be a hot commodity throughout the intervening years. Denver could see as many as 16 new breweries going into business this year, and while some have already opened, there are plenty of exciting prospects on the horizon.

Aero-Craft will be joining an already crowded brewing neighborhood in late summer, with a new location ideally located at the entrance to the popular Tennyson Street shopping corridor.

14er Brewing has been around since 2016, canning and distributing beers despite not having access to an actual tap room. But the public fell in love with their approach to brewing. Their Rocky Mountain Saison won a gold medal at GABF, and they signed a lease for a taproom in River North shortly thereafter.

Alex Liberati understands that in a crowded market, you have to stand out from the pack. He developed his reputation as a brewer and restaurateur in Rome, but he’ll be bringing his taste for Italian grape ales and culinary pairings to Denver in late summer.

Plenty of New Restaurants

The culinary scene in Denver continues to grow at an expansive taste. It would be impossible to cover all the new openings in this space, but here are a couple of the most promising.

The Constellation Ice Cream will be the third ice cream shop from Paul Tamburello, mixing tried and true classics with flamboyant and ambitious flavors.

Despite his background working at some of the poshest restaurants around, Jerrod Rosen’s newest venture takes a back to basics approach. Rye Society will put a new spin on the classic Jewish deli concept.

Lon Symensma is also taking a break from what he’s known for. His follow-up to popular Asian spot ChoLon will be LeRoux, a restaurant focusing on the full breadth of European cuisine.
